The idea of the Virtual Studio Tour is based on what works so well about an actual studio tour. When a person comes into your space, he is on your turf in a relationship with you. The basis for running an effective business is being in good relationships with others. So being successful has more to do with helping those relationships grow, than selling anything. Staying in touch with clients day to day, sharing what is going on in your studio and answering questions starts conversations which leads to sales.

The Virtual Studio Tour website is designed like two back to back envelopes connected together; one is the virtual tour website with many different kinds of artists, the other is an individual artists studio. Each is addressed with it’s own address ~ like a studio with 2 doorways open to the world. People can come in your front door (your domain name) or your other front door (your studio tour door).

I have designed a template for constructing the virtual studio tour network. In the class, you will see how it works and how it can function for different kinds of artists.
